Moral of the story

Last night I was narrating a bed time story to cantaloupe. I was narrating the “Grapes are sour story”

Me: There was a fox who was hungry… found grapes …… etc etc …. And then the fox jumped, jumped again and jumped again but had no success … finally the fox decided that the grapes are sour and went away.

Me(to myself): I must add some moral to this story …. Hmm … ok

Me(to Cantaloupe): So you know, you must never give up like the fox … you must keep trying, anything you cannot get is not sour really.
Got it?

Cantaloupe: Oh yeah amma

Me(so proud of her): So what did you understand?

Cantaloupe: I will keep jumping in the class !!!! I will never give up, no matter what !!

Me: WHAT ????????

Simply hilarious!!! :D

The interpretations that these kids take out of our statements is amazing.

@nm: I was actually dumb struck ... did not expect that answer at all ... I tried hard to control my laughter.(laughing may give her the impression that she is right)

@aryan's mom: It was a long weekend here ... gave me extra time to drill down cantaloupe ... poor baby

@rdbans / kodi's mom: Not sure whether Cantaloupe learnt a life lesson or not ... I sure did. I am going to be very careful with my choice of stories and the MORALS :)

These kids are super smart arent they, they catch onto the nuances that they're not meant to and coolly ignore what we are trying to get into their heads...LOL.
